San Francisco Real Estate Market Update for
November 2006

The number of Single Family Homes sold for November decreased from October in San Francisco Real Estate showing that the holiday market is here. Average listing and selling prices were both down from the previous month but higher than a year ago. The average selling price was only slightly over 100% of the average listing price.

The number of Condominiums sold in November increased significantly from October in the San Francisco Real Estate Market. The average selling price was only slightly over 100% of the average listing price. The average selling price was lower than the previous month as well as a year ago.

The number of homes sold in the Overall Sales category for November in San Francisco Real Estate was much higher than October but less than a year ago. The average selling price was slightly over 100% of the average listing price, and lower compared to last month. However, compared to a year ago the average selling price was higher.

Mortgage rates have held steady and some have even decreased upon word that the Fed has decided to hold rate hikes until they can determine what results have come from their previous actions. Foster Weeks does a weekly mortgage update, part of which is posted on our blog.
