Market Update: October-December 2002 The San Francisco Real Estate market has continued to improve in the fourth quarter. As the statistics show more properties have sold but the average listing price and selling price is lower than the last quarter. This indicates that the "lower" end of the market is moving the best. There is less difference between the listing price and the selling price which can indicate that buyers and sellers are coming closer to agreeing on value. Also, the properties that are selling are priced right! The Buyers still have bargaining power but the gap is closing! However, with the low interest rates now it is still a better time to buy than it has been in years!! It is a more "normal" market with choices for buyers and longer marketing times for sellers.
