Before I start on real estate, I'd like to offer our clients and agents who have given us a referral in the last year tickets to Shopping! the Musical. I can't tell you how fortunate I feel to be selling real estate in San Francisco. Although much of the country and the state of California are still feeling the downturn of the real estate market, we here in San Francisco are seeing signs of a healthy turnaround. That's not to say we don't still have our problems, but lots of deals are being made and a good number of them are in our office!

I am often asked how is the market. I am very busy and have excellent traffic at the open houses but buyers are still fearful to make offers. Remember f-e-a-r is False
Epectations Appearing Real. I think they want to see some sign that the market has reached bottom. The problem with that thinking is that the bottom is never known until it is too late. Historically this is the best time to buy with the low interest rates and prices down 10-30% depending on where the property is location. And no one has been spared the decline. I cannot predict the future but I do know value when I see it and there are many great values out there including the beautiful home and cottage I have listed at 123 26th Avenue. So if you are thinking of making a move then "just do it"!

See what Foster Weeks says every Monday about interest rates in his weekly newsletter and on Blog. With all the turmoil in the stock and bond markets, it changes day to day! However, interest rates have been very low for a long time. Now might be the time to take advantage of it!
