Hello from Janis and Thea!


While Mick and I were in Hawaii at our condo trying to relax, Thea and Shaya held down the fort for us back in San Francisco. For the most part we got to hang out though we did spend our first day shopping for a new dish washer. Things just don't last in high humidity.

The market report for November is up, and the really good news is that single family homes under $2M still continue to sell, on average, OVER the asking price.

The market is active, at least for the properties that are still on the market.  Interest rates continue to be low even though the limit for the conforming loans was reduced to $625,500.  Be vocal to your government representatives so that those of us in higher priced areas can still get the advantage of the best interest rates.  Loan qualification continues to be a challenge but there is some movement on more flexibility in underwriting.  Again, let your voice be heard by those who make the rules so our economy can grow and all of us can do better.

As you can see the beach is starting to recover from the tsunami. We were told the entire beach was wiped out after the disaster, but it is quickly returning to its former beauty.

There was no surfing this trip, but Mick was pleased that there was a lot of golf and many days at the beach!

Janis is looking stylish in her beach attire. Our trip included a ride on the glass bottom boat to look at the coral and wide range of fishes in "A" Bay, just steps from our condo at Kolea.
